Interlinings
Interlining fabrics are fabrics that are placed between the outer fabric of a garment and its lining in order to add stability, strength, cushioning and insulation. It can be placed on the whole internal surface of the garment or on some parts of the garment such as the collars, sleeves and lapels giving them a padded look enhancing effect. Interlinings can be woven or unwoven, sew-on or heat adhesive fabrics and can be made of natural fibers, such as cotton, wool and hair or be of synthetic composition.
